It also requires ongoing training and resources to keep pace with how AI technology and regulations evolve. When governance is seen as a collaborative effort rather than a top-down mandate, it becomes easier to embed it into everyday processes.


Clear communication and accountability are key. Leaders need to establish who is responsible for what and ensure there are practical tools to identify risks before they escalate. This hands-on approach helps reduce the chances of costly mistakes, legal issues, or public backlash. More importantly, it builds trust internally and externally by showing that AI is being managed thoughtfully and transparently. For boards and executives, investing in this practical governance is about protecting the organization and enabling AI-driven innovation in a way that is both safe and sustainable.
